DISTINCTIONS
- William Alfred Tilleke was bestowed a peerage and given
the title of Maha Ammart Tho Phraya Attakarn Prasiddhi by H.M.
the King; he was also Attorney General of Siam.
- Ralph Gibbins was a judge on the International Court
(Appeals) in Bangkok.
- Victor Jaques, a highly decorated officer in World War
I, was British Military Governor of Bangkok after World War II.
- Albert Lyman was a founder of the American Association
of Thailand, now the American Chamber of Commerce; a founder and
Chairman of the Bangkok Stock Exchange, now the Stock Exchange
of Thailand; and recipient of the Spanish Civil Order of Merit.
- Freda Ring Lyman, who received the Most Noble Order of
the Crown of Thailand 5th Class in 1961, was the first foreign
woman to be decorated by H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
- Rojvit Periera, one of Thailand's foremost trial lawyers,
was Rotary Club's first District Governor for all of Thailand
in 1982.
- David Lyman: Founding Member of the Thai Prime Minister's

- Manit Amoradhat was a Judge with the Ministry of Justice.
- Chalerm Tatpiromya was a Presiding Justice of The Supreme

- Junjiro Nishino, the senior Japanese in Thailand prior
to his death, was President of the Japanese Association of Thailand;
Director of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce; in 1987, received
the decoration of Commander-Sacred Treasure of Japan from the
Emperor of Japan.
- John R. Hanlon was with Goodyear International Corporation
from 1951-1987 holding numerous executive assignments throughout
the Far East and in the U.S., including Managing Director for
Thailand.
- Leonie Daisy Vejjajiva: UNEP Global 500 Laureate in 1994;
awarded the "Kem Patchara Kittyabha" Honorary Parachute
Wings by the Special Warfare Division, Royal Thai Army, in 1998;
Board Member of the Thailand Business Coalition on AIDS (TBCA);
Board Member of the Thai SPCA; Co-Founder of the Wild Animal Rescue
Foundation of Thailand; and a Member of the Committee to Establish
Ethics for the Treatment of Laboratory Animals, established in
1998 by the National Research Council of Thailand.
- Torajiro Ohashi: Received the 1st
Infantry King's Bodyguard Dept. certificate and brooch royal souvenir
for his unrelenting assistance and support to the Department,
November 1988, The Japanese Ministry of International
Trade and Industry Award in recognition of his achievements during
his 29 years of service in Thailand, October 1994, Thailand Immigration
Department Certificate and brooch for his unrelenting support
and assistance to the Immigration Department, June 2000.
- Anongporn Thanachaiary: Elected to Board of Governors
of the Law Society of Thailand (now Lawyers Council of Thailand)
from 2001-2003 and 2004-2006, and appointed Vice President, Foreign
Affairs, from 2004-2007.
- Darani Vachanavuttivong (formerly Vipa Chuenjaipanich):
Director of the Intellectual Property Association of Thailand;
President (2005-2007), recently elected for another two-year term.
- Timothy R. Wales: Member of the Thai Commercial Arbitration
Committee of the Board of Trade of Thailand.
- Wutipong Vechayanon, a former judge of the Central Intellectual
Property and International Trade Court, was a member of the Drafting
Committee of numerous bills, e.g., E-Commerce, E-Signature, etc.;
appointed as the representative of the Ministry of Justice to
the UNCITRAL Board Conference, United Nations, New York; selected
as Chairman of the ASEAN Working Group which drafted the ASEAN
Agreement on Multi Forms of Transportation; and appointed as the
representative of Thailand to negotiate in the bilateral agreements
between Thailand and Switzerland and between Thailand and Canada
on the promotion of investment.
From 1997 to the present, the firm has consistently been voted

Periera were appointed advisors to Thai Parliament Sub-Committees,
while Woranuch Periera was appointed member of a National
Council on Social Welfare of Thailand Committee. Thawat Damsa-ard
was presented with an award by The Court of Appeal for his contribution
to the law journal, Extradition: Theory and Procedure, and appointed
to the Board of Consultants of the Economic and Cyber-Crime
Division, The Royal Thai Police Department. Michael Ramirez
and John Fotiadis were awarded the American
Bar Association's "Rule of Law Award 2007".
The firm's Museum of Counterfeit Goods has been featured
on CNN, the BBC-TV, and national television of many countries
and in various print media, and is used for education of police
and government officials. Because of the firm's successes in anti-counterfeiting
activities, it was invited to join the Counterforce Network of
the Counterfeiting Intelligence Bureau of the International Chamber
of Commerce. The firm's Textile Collection of Tai and other
mainland Southeast Asian native textiles is the largest private
collection in Thailand open for viewing by the public and has
been featured in exhibitions, books, magazines, and television
in Thailand and abroad.
