Darani Vachanavuttivong has been identified by the Asialaw Leading Lawyers Survey as a highly acclaimed legal expert in the Asia-Pacific region in the area of intellectual property, 2003-2009. Moreover, there are two other additions to the list: Suebsiri Taweepon and Alan Adcock. Suebsiri has been named as a leading lawyer in 2008 and 2009, while Alan has been recognized every year since 2005 for his work in Hong Kong and China.
Darani Vachanavuttivong has been identified as a preeminent practitioner in the field of trademark law in the Guide to the World’s Leading Trade Mark Law Practitioners, in association with Managing Intellectual Property, and as a preeminent practitioner in the field of patent law in the Guide to the World’s Leading Patent Law Practitioners, in association with Managing Intellectual Property, 2009 edition.
Darani Vachanavuttivong was the President of the Intellectual Property Association of Thailand (IPAT) for two terms, July 2005 through June 2009. She continues to serve the IPAT as a member of the Board of the Directors and the Secretary General until July 2011.
Srila Thongklang is a partner and chief litigator in the Intellectual Property Department. He joined Tilleke & Gibbins as an IP lawyer in 1986 and then litigator in the IP and maritime fields for many years. He later chose IP litigation as his area of concentration. In 2005, he was promoted to partner as a result of his outstanding achievements in IP litigation.
Nandana Indananda joined Tilleke & Gibbins in 2008 as Of Counsel after many years of service as a judge in various courts including the Central Tax Court and the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court. He has extensive research experience and has written numerous treatises on a variety of topics. In addition, he is a frequent guest lecturer at many of Bangkok’s universities.
Alan Adcock has practiced IP law for over 10 years, all of which as has been devoted to Asian regional practices (particularly China and Hong Kong). Appearing frequently in global legal rankings, Alan’s practice focuses mostly on the commercial side with experience in IP due diligence, acquisitions, technology transfer, and clinical trial work. He has been appointed Honorary Professor at the Beijing Communications University and recently co-authored the book China IP Challenges & Solutions.
